Learn to create Two-Color Stranded Mittens

Class Concluded

In this hybrid course, we construct a pair of mittens inspired by Bernie’s iconic Inauguration mitts with simple repeating patterns. A good fit for beginner knitters to mittens or two color knitting.

Knit and purl skills required to participate.

The focus of this course is to use and manipulate two color stripe patterns to build a mitten chart- think of it as a sampler. I provide the stitches counts and general pattern- you choose the samples and the order to chart your own creation and knit it with support. First two classes will set you up and get you started (including guidance forming a thumb gore). Skills will be presented in both live demos and video formats as needed for review while you knit outside of class time. *Note: Two colors at once and more colors can be used as desired.

Intro. Scandinavian Knitting

class concluded

In this hybrid class, we combine live demo and Q & A sessions to set up and begin knitting a stranded hat. After everyone is established in the pattern- we switch to live knit-alongs with some demo as needed and recorded demo videos available during the week for knitters to review.
