CARD Huckleberries in a Bird Vase

The original painting was inspired by yellow warblers diving and fluttering among the berry bushes. I think they were after insects. A bouquet of branches always brightens the house and this imagined blue and white vase would get plenty of use. The forest and its huckleberry understory are closely connected and here I’ve included coniferous trees in the background and the vase to tie in the dominant landscape of Southeast Alaska.
